Astitva translates as ‘existence’ and is a new ensemble work exploring the lived experiences of Gay British South Asian men, choreographed by Jaivant Patel.
Jaivant Patel is currently one of the leading voices amplifying South Asian LGBTQIA+ narratives on the UK and international cultural landscape. Previous works include award-winning production ‘Waltzing The Blue Gods’ which won the Eastern Eye ACTA Award for Dance 2024.
This is a sharing of work-in-progress.
Rooted in Wolverhampton, Jaivant Patel Company is a National Portfolio Organisation for Arts Council England and an associate of Arena Theatre.
This evening includes a post-show Q&A.
