Award-winning English Youth Ballet returns to Wolverhampton with its romantic production of GISELLE. Starring international principal dancers and showcasing an exciting cast of talented, young dancers from the local area.
The haunting story is set on an Edwardian country estate and has a Downton Abbey flavour. The governess – GISELLE falls in love but is betrayed and dies of a broken heart. In the forest live the macabre Wilis Spirits – ghosts of other young women who rise from the grave each night. They will stop at nothing to take their revenge.
