Facing eviction after his girlfriend leaves him, Jack sublets his cupboard to a desperate stranger. But landlording’s more explosive than advertised.

Landlordism has run rampant through the U.K. Rents have flown up above inflation and house prices have followed. 

So, when Jack’s girlfriend leaves him, and he faces eviction, his first idea (after the breakdown) is to … sublet his cupboard to pay his rent. That’s a mistake.
