Meet author and lifelong Wolves fan Jake Perry who will be in store to chat to fellow supporters and sign copies of his new book, Nights in Gold Satin, a fascinating look at a time 'when Wolverhampton Wanderers ruled the world'.

Pop along before the Wolves-Brighton game at Molineux (*NOTE: now Sunday 5th, not Saturday 4th October*) and pick up a copy of this great new book. There's no need to book a place, just turn up on the day and say hello to Jake. if you can't make the signing but would like a signed/dedicated copy of 'Nights in Gold Satin', pop in to Waterstones Wolverhampton before the event, or give us a call on 01902 427219. About the book

Nights in Gold Satin tells the fascinating story of the ‘floodlit friendlies’, the groundbreaking series of matches hosted by Wolverhampton Wanderers in the 1950s. Victories over Moscow Spartak and Honvéd saw Wolves hailed ‘champions of the world’, and out of the debate that followed the European Cup was born. About the author: Well known in the world of Scottish cricket as a writer and commentator, Jake Perry is the author of The Secret Game and co-author of Playing With Teeth: How Scotland’s Cricketers Broke the Cycle of Glorious Failure. Growing up in Wolverhampton in the 1970s and ’80s, as a Wolves fan he witnessed both triumph and disaster. Nights in Gold Satin pays tribute to his original sporting love.
