In 2026 Jaivant Patel Company celebrates its 20th Anniversary, and this event is part of a celebratory programme reflecting on legacy, acknowledging current evolution, and framing future vision.

Indian classical music has two foundational elements,ragaandtala. Theraga, based on a varied repertoire of swarm (notes), forms the fabric of a deeply intricate melodic structure, while thetalameasures the time-cycle. Theragagives an artist a palette to build the melody from sounds, while thetalaprovides them with a creative framework for rhythmic improvisation using time.

This uplifting, inclusive, family friendly evening features some of the best British South Asian musicians and vocalists from the West Midlands and across the UK.
