Guardian Beasts: Make Your Own “Alan Measles”

Inspired by Grayson Perry’s childhood teddy bear and alter ego, Alan Measles, this playful family workshop invites children and parents to design their own guardian beast.

Using fabric, collage, and colourful embellishments, families will create imaginative protectors - whether teddy bears, dragons, or robots, each with unique powers and stories. Fun, hands‑on, and full of personality, Guardian Beasts celebrates imagination, identity, and storytelling, giving every child the chance to take home a magical creature of their own.
