The talk will be looking at 3 projects we have dug locally which will cover prehistory, mediaeval and post-mediaeval periods.
Prehistory will be covered with our dig at Wrottesley Lodge Farm near Perton, Wolverhampton. Here we found a
longhouse, a road and part of a field system dating back 5,000 years.
Mediaeval will be looking at our digs at Himley Hall and the finding of the old church and also its predecessor.
Post mediaeval is covered with our dig in the Gailey area on the A5 uncovering an old pub that served the canal and the boat people and the search for coal mining also in the area
