Black Country businesses are being urged to pop on their thinking caps for a charity quiz and curry night to raise money for a women’s aid charity.
Black Country Chamber of Commerce will be bringing firms together for a curry and quiz night at The Pavilion, Wolverhampton– with all proceeds going to Black Country Women’s Aid (BCWA).
BCWA is the Chamber’s charity of the year and stands by people in the region who are facing domestic abuse, sexual violence, child exploitation and modern slavery.
The event, sponsored by BlackRook Academy, is making its debut on the Chamber calendar and will see teams greeted with an arrival drink before being treated to a tasty curry.
The quiz, chaired by quizmaster Steve Saul, will then pit businesses against each other with a bit of friendly rivalry, in a test of their general knowledge..
Head of membership, Sean Jackson, said: “This is a fun, social event to bring businesses together, all for such a valuable cause.
“Our charity of the year offers refuge, counselling, crisis support and a safe place for people to start again.
“They’re there when people need them the most and every ticket sold goes to helping them to keep doing their incredible work.”
The quiz takes place on Thursday November 26, running from 6.30pm to 10.30pm - and prices are £150 for a team of six, excluding VAT.
