The comedian’s Jack’s Joke Show will visit the city on 20 February 2027 after a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe
Comedian Jack Dee will perform at the University of Wolverhampton at the Halls on 20 February 2027 as part of a new UK tour marking 40 years in stand-up.
The show, Jack’s Joke Show, follows a sell-out run at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe. Wolverhampton is one of more than 50 stops on the 2027 tour, which also takes in Birmingham, Coventry, Lichfield, Stoke-on-Trent and Derby.
Dee describes the show as a look back at his favourite old jokes and where they fit into his life story. It is built around the stories and anecdotes that have stuck with him over the years rather than new routines, and the publicity promises “no new material”.
Dee said: “Jack’s Joke Show is a compilation of all my favourite old jokes and where they belong in my life story. It’s proved very popular with audiences in London and Edinburgh and I’m really looking forward to taking it all around the country.”
Known for his dry, deadpan delivery, Dee has been a fixture of British comedy for four decades. Since 2009 he has hosted BBC Radio 4’s I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue, and he co-wrote and starred in the sitcoms Lead Balloon for BBC Two and Bad Move for ITV.
His TV appearances include Taskmaster, Have I Got News for You and QI, and he recently recorded a stand-up special, Jack Dee’s Small World, for Sky at the London Palladium. He is also the author of the autobiography Thanks for Nothingand the agony uncle book What Is Your Problem?.
Tickets for the tour went on general sale in September.
