Sport for Change Wolverhampton to speak at city’s Interfaith Conference

The event is free but donations are welcome

Sport for Change Wolverhampton will be highlighting the power of sport to bring people together, strengthen communities and create positive change when it speaks at the Interfaith Wolverhampton Annual Conference on Saturday 14 November.

The conference, taking place at the Royal School in Wolverhampton, will provide an opportunity to share how sport is helping to build connections across communities, promote inclusion and improve lives across the city.

Launched by ConnectSport CIC in March 2026, Sport for Change Wolverhampton is a storytelling and media campaign celebrating the work of local community organisations that use sport and physical activity to make a difference.

Working with University of Wolverhampton students and young local content creators, the initiative is capturing the stories of organisations and individuals whose contributions can often go unseen or under-valued.

From improving health and wellbeing to supporting young people's development, building confidence and bringing people from different backgrounds together, the campaign aims to demonstrate that sport is about much more than what happens on the pitch.

Its appearance at the Interfaith Conference will underline the important role that community sport can play in promoting understanding, belonging and social cohesion across Wolverhampton.

Through sport, we can build bridges, create opportunities and help make Wolverhampton a stronger, more connected city.
